When I was younger I Iooked out for myself.
An afterthought was anyone else.
Selfish I came in, yet nothing I gained,
until I turned to God  who gave us everything.
When I lived life for me, I was empty and lost.
Until I followed him and found who I was.

He gave some to be Apostles and Prophets of truth,
  Preachers and Teachers, Evangelists too.
Children, Mothers and Fathers, Our lives can Witness the Truth.
So will you use the gifts he gave you to serve…Him or You?
When I served just myself, chased after this World
I had meaningless things, I was unfulfilled
I’d heard it’s better to give than receive, (Acts 20:35)
When I picked up that towel to serve,
and found out what that means. (John 13:1-17)
Like arms, legs and elbows, eyes, hands and feet,
together we build up the body that feeds. (I Cor 12:12-)
He gave some to be Apostles, and Prophets of truth.
  Preachers and Teachers, Evangelists too.
Friend will you look inside to what God gave you,
and will you use the gifts he gave you to serve
  Him or You?
If you serve only yourself, you’ll have meaningless things,
  in a meaningless world. Ecclesiastes
But if you serve the Father above,
just like Abrahams stars, (Genesis 15:5)
you will find out who you are. (1 John 3:1)
Chorus
He gave some to be Apostles, and Prophets of truth.
Preachers and Teachers, Evangelists too. (Eph. 4:11)
Friend will you look inside to what God gave you,
and will you use the gifts he gave you to serve
Or will you chase after yourself and this world
Will you use your life to witness the Word?
Will you use the gifts he gave you to serve...Him or You ?
